- Initiative to develop and deploy ballistic missile defence systems for Indian cities.
- Started after the threat of Nuclear Attack by Pakistan during Kargil war.
- There are two stages in this: PAD and AAD.
- PAD is Prithvi Air Defence, which is a Exo Atmospheric defence system.
- AAD is Advanced air defence, which is a Endo Atmospheric defence system.
- Only seven cities in the world has this system: Delhi, Washington, Moscow, Beijing, Paris, London and Tel Aviv.
